- Christmastime at the Brandenburg Gate, designed to resemble the gateway to the Acropolis in Athens, but eventually a symbol of a divided Berlin. Johann Gottfried Schadow's original quadriga statue atop the Gate was taken by Napoleon in 1806 to Paris.
